North Lindsey College HE Block, Scunthorpe

The project involved the demolition of an existing single storey teaching block and construction of a new two storey higher education teaching block, to house 6 No. Classrooms, 2 No. Seminar Rooms, together with Staff Offices, Reception Area and WC facilities.

The accommodation comprised 524 sq m and included formal teaching and seminar facilities.

Ribbon windows with glazed corner details were incorporated to maximise the benefits of natural light. High degrees of thermal insulation were added to ensure the new building achieved an excellent energy use rating.
